It was a night of celebration for the terriers on Monday evening down at the Accu Stadium infront of over 800 supporters after Huddersfield town U21’s were able to come to a 3-1 win over Everton U21’s.
Michael Tongs men started off strong when Jay Sway took the lead for the hosts through a great solo goal where he was able tp skip through the centre of the pitch before taking a shot just outside the boxslotted its way into the bottom corner.

It was back-and-forth action throughout, but just before the end of the first half, a corner from Everton hit the town captain, Togo, which accidentally was turned into his own net. Taking the game to a 1-1 draw going into halftime.
The second half was mainly dominated by attacks by the Visitors who only minutes into the second half but a weak attempt was easily collected by Town goalkeeper Francis Hurl.
As the clock ticked down town had many chances that would end up just wide and occasionaly hit the bar but nothign could be converted in normal time and the fight and spirit of the players helped take the game to added time.
A second yellow for Everton’s Kingsford Boakye, who fell in the box appealing for a penalty but was accused of simulation by the referee, giving a man advantage to the hosts, who from that time onwards would go on to take full control of the game.
Attacking substitute Jamie Spencer would close off the gamw with two goals in the second half of added time and bringing the terriers to a 3-1 victory.
They will face Norwich in the final, and the fixture date is yet to be confirmed.
