Huddersfield Giants have signed Lee Kershaw on a two-week loan from Hull KR. Since the beginning of the season, the Giants have been struck by injuries so Kershaw’s short spell will strengthen the struggling Giants side.

The 27-year-old winger could be set to star in Huddersfield’s upcoming Super League clash against second of the table St Helens. A win for Giants on Thursday could get them off the bottom of the table.

Kershaw’s move could see him to make his first appearance since his ACL injury last May. This injury ruled him out of the 2025 season but he returned to training in March this year. He has not returned to the Hull KR first team yet, but he has been playing for the reserves.

The Giants hope that his experience and pace will help Huddersfield’s backline as Sam Halsall is missing from the squad due to injury.

Director of Rugby, Andy Kelly said that this short loan will benefit both clubs as it gives Giants the cover they need while allowing Kershaw to gain game time as he recovers from his injury.

Throughout his career, Lee Kershaw has made 76 Super League appearances and scored 24 tries. He played for Wakefield Trinity, Oldham and London Broncos before joining Hull KR for the 2025 season.
