Bradford City are set to face Bolton Wanderers at the University of Bradford Stadium tonight.

The Bantams are in an uphill battle as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the away leg. Brighton loanee, Amario Cozier-Duberry scored the only goal in the tie on the hour mark to give tonight’s visitors the advantage.

Bolton are looking to make a return to the Championship for the first time since the 2018/19 season where their season was riddled with ownership troubles off the pitch. The Wanderers went down again the following season, after being deducted 12 points at the start of the season.

On the contrary, Bradford have not been in the second flight since the 2003/04 season. The Bantams are trying to make it back-to-back promotions, after securing promotion to League One on the final game of the season last year.

Graham Alexander’s men are set to play in front of an almost sold out stadium, with a feeling of optimism after what has already been a successful season.

Stand out midfielder Bobby Pointon missed the first leg due to an ankle injury, but the manager has confirmed the youth product is in contention for selection. Pointon will prove to be a massive boost to the Bantams, having scored 10 goals already this season, as they try to keep their promotion dreams alive.

Other half of the draw,Stockport breezed past Stevenage winning 3-0 over both legs. The winner of tonight’s tie will face the Hatters at Wembley on Sunday 24th May.
