Leeds United look ahead to a tough game in the capital today as they face Tottenham Hotspur this evening. The Whites look to extend their current 6-game unbeaten run. Leeds have confirmed their position in the Premier League for another season after Arsenal’s draw last night against Tottenham’s relegation rivals, West Ham.
Daniel Farke was out with illness so assistant manager Edmund Riemer took to the hotseat where he spoke about how it will be a “huge test” at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and praises the Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi over how he has been able to turn thier season around after what has been a poor season and are now sat just outside the relegation spot with 41 points just one point off West Ham.
Leeds are with their injuries, though. In-form attacker Noah Okafor is in doubt after sustaining a calf injury in last weekend’s league meeting against Burnley. The Swiss international will be hoping that the injury will not be a lengthy one, as a call for an international cap could be on the cards.
Tottenham will be going into this match hoping that they can turn things around and gain a bigger gap between them and the bottom three as they go into the final stretch of the Premier League season. But it won’t be an easy feat as Leeds will be making a statement after staying up for another season.
