Despite a new manager and huge investment on the squad Huddersfield Town have failed to reach the League One play-offs for the second year running despite ending the season with a 4 nil win away at Wimbledon. The club went through 2 manager changes seeing Lee Grant replaced with Liam Manning and Jon Stead temporarily replacing Manning as interim boss due to altering circumstance

Huddersfield who finish the season in 9th drew 3 of their last 4 games in unbelievable fashion conceding stoppage time equalisers in each of the games. ‘We need to drive’, Stead told media who also stated how he thinks they can ‘push the players more’ but also stating how the ‘finger needs to be pointed at the coaching team as well as the players’.

With the Terriers trying to get back into the Championship after recently being in the Premier League fans are becoming exceedingly unhappy with the current circumstances at the club with ticket prices rising and the quality on the pitch declining. With the departure of sporting director Jake Edwards this summer could see huge change for the blue and white army but fans will no longer be fooled with empty promises and words as they are now becoming eager for results and improvement. Stead told media “I think we can still drive and push them more. But that’s us looking internally as staff, not pointing a finger at the players’.

Will Huddersfield Town be able to bounce back next season, only time will tell but the coaching staff are certainly confident that change can be made and the club can turn things around over the summer.
