Leeds United unveil plans for an expansion on their home turf Elland Road as Leeds are promoted to the Premier League.

The proposals for the new stadium have been reviewed and accepted by Leeds City Council and they are set to develop and extend the stadium from 37,645 to 56,500. But what does this mean for Leeds United?
Leeds currently have over 26,000 fans on the waiting list for season tickets and a further 18,000 available tickets would make a lot of Leeds United fans happy.
After speaking to lifelong Leeds fan Paul, about what this means, he said: “I’ve been a season ticket holder for over 30 years, and this means the world to me, hopefully the new stadium will be our reason to consistently stay in the Premier League”.
The redevelopments are targeting the North Stand, West Stand and making changes to Leeds United’s beloved South Stand along with some modernisation of the hospitality areas.
Paraag Marathe, Leeds Chairman and the president of 49ers Enterprises said: “We look forward to sharing our plans with supporters and the local community for their input”.
