Newsome Panthers are an amateur rugby league club located in Huddersfield they have been at the heart of Huddersfield for over 30 years. The open-age team compete in Division one of the Pennine League with the Junior sides placed in the West Riding League. The club has recently announced plans to create new facilities such as new changing rooms, a classroom, and a bar for post-match presentations.

The club is the only team in Huddersfield without any sort of club house for the community as well as players. The team has created a go-found-me page in hopes of raising £20,000 to make these dreams come true. Continuous fundraising is currently taking place at the club with things like a club lottery taking place weekly as well as holding annual bonfires and events at the club to raise funds.

The main fundraiser the Panthers are doing is completing the three peaks challenge in order to raise a huge sum of the money. 8 members of the coaching staff and players are taking on the challenge of completing all three National peaks in the space of 24 hours, meaning 37km will be walked with a total of 3,064m climbed. The team will begin in Scotland with Ben Nevis and then making their way down to Scafell Pike before finishing off in Wales at Snowden.

The club currently sit on just over £7000 meaning they still need support to raise the remaining the £13,000. You can find the go-found-me link here: Newsome Panthers
