CEO of multiple West Yorkshire independent businesses, Kalm and Mexi Bean, has been nominated for three Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2026.
Danielle Best, Known for her various retail ventures and shopfronts across West Yorkshire, has been shortlisted under three different categories at the Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2026.
It seems this independent multi-business owner has not only gained recognition and admiration from locals, she’s also loved by the business industry becoming a three-time nominee.
The Kalm, Mexi Bean and Charlie’s Desserts CEO has previously won the Emerging Leader of the Year and Hospitality Leader of the Year, so it’s no surprise she finds herself as one of the most nominated individuals.
The business that kickstarted Best’s leadership journey is her innovative burrito company aptly titled Mexi Bean, launched in 2020 and inspired by a trip to Mexico.
Since its launch, this food organisation has been bringing the flavours of this South American country to various West Yorkshire towns including Huddersfield, Brighouse, Halifax and Sowerby Bridge.
Kalm has two locations so far both of which opened in 2025, with its flagship site located in Brighouse and the newest spot situated right here in Huddersfield.
This time, Best is nominated for Hospitality Leader of the Year ,Marketing Leader of the Year and Company Leader of the Year as a result of all her hard work and dedication across her three distinctive brands.
