Luke Humphries, who sits 2nd in the premier league table, will be looking to follow up on his football clubs Leeds United’s recent promotion and championship title win by using the Leeds faithful to inspire is very own title charge within the Premier League.
With a strong showing in West Yorkshire, the world number Luke Humphries could secure is playoff place with two weeks of league action to spare.
Last year in Leeds Humphries dispatched Michael Van Gerwen in the nightly final, the two will lock horns again in the quarter final for night 14 in what is set to be a fierce match up.
Van Gerwen also currently sits in the play off places in 4th just below Welshmen Gerwyn Pryce who is currently having a strong premier league campaign, but no one can seem to keep up with the 18-year-old superstar Luke “The Nuke” Littler who sits top by 9 points before a game is played in Leeds.
Littler is set to face his good mate Nathan Aspinall in the quarter finals the two met last week in the semifinal with The Nuke winning 6-5
The other quarter finals are 34-year-old Rob Cross vs The Iceman Gerwyn Pryce and fan favourite Stephen Bunting take on Chris Dobey, Bunting will be looking to bounce back from two first round exits in the last 2 weeks of the premier league.
