League One Champions Birmingham city have broken the all-time EFL point record after beating Blackpool 2-0 thanks to goals by Ethan Laird and Alfie May.  

The Blue now sit on 108 points breaking the previous record of 106 held by Reading from the 2005/2006 campaign. Its been an outstanding season for the Brum, Chris Davies has got is men playing some quality football with his side collecting 33 wins, 9 draws and only losing 3 games some seriously impressive numbers the Blues were crowned champions with six games to spare  

The midlands-based club were strong favorites going into the season after there financial backing from their American owners who include American Football superstar Tom Brady. the financial backing was put on full display when Birmingham smashed the league one transfer record by signing Jay Stansfield for £15 million and £5 million in add-ons since that point the intent was there and the writing on the wall for Birmingham city’s return to the championship.
