This weekend, Golcar United ladies host Leeds United in the West Riding County Cup 1st Round at the Skye Direct Stadium.
It’s set to be the biggest game in their history with Nathan Martin’s side only playing in the West Riding County football league. The 7th tier of the women’s football pyramid in England.
Director of football at Golcar, Chris Worsley said, “we’re incredibly proud of the sucess of Golcar United ladies, they help shape the future of our club!”.
Manager of the mens’ team Joe Scarz has also dug into his pocket by giving out free tickets to the next first team game to any fan who attends on Sunday. Nathan Martin, boss of the ladies’ side, was grateful for the support:
