An all-new Halloween Trail has taken over Brighouse which aims to spread family-fun and promote local businesses this October half term.
The Brighouse Monster Halloween Trail launched last Friday and it hopes to encourage families to hunt down a mix of cute and creepy creatures decorating shop windows across this West Yorkshire town.
Organised by non-profit organisation (NPO) Visit Brighouse, this autumnal initiative includes over 15 local business owner’s shopfronts and on selected days, even more monsters will be cropping up.
Some of the independent retailers where these raucous residents are staking out include: Prima Donna Boutique, Hartley’s Bakers and Confectioners, The Sweetest Thing and Just My Look.
Printed and online maps are available from all the participating shops as well as the Visit Brighouse office on Bradford Road during their retrospective trading hours.

As well as hunting down monsters throughout this local town, why not immerse yourself in everything this quaint town has to offer by trying some incredible baked goods, picking up a trinket or finding a nice scarf or two.
Anyone planning on getting involved and completing the Halloween trail will also find themselves entered into a very unique prize draw with gifts you can’t get from anywhere else -quite literally.
That’s because there’s three exclusive goody bags up for grabs which will be allocated to three random Brighouse Monster Halloween Trail participants full of items from independent Brighouse businesses.
Helen Holdsworth, Brighouse BID Project Manager, said: “It’s always brilliant seeing so many families in Brighouse enjoying our ever-popular fun trails, and this Halloween we need everyone’s help to find the monsters that have taken over our town.

“Many of our shops, venues and businesses will be going spooky for half-term, so there’ll be plenty to do as you browse and discover the town as you hunt our colourful creatures.”
If you’re up for doing some ghostbusting of your own, Brighouse Monster Halloween Trail is running from Friday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2025 – with more information and a map HERE.
