This weekend Rugby League heads to Newcastle as all 12 teams play over two days at St James Park this gives our very own Huddersfield Giants a great chance to get their first win of the season. Given their history at the magic weekend, it’s a great chance to recapture old form with the Giants record at the Magic Weekend is the best of any club with 23 points from 17 games winning 10, drawing 1 and losing just 5.
We spoke with Huddersfield Giants prop Matty English about is experience of the Magic weekend.
“the atmosphere up at Magic weekend is pretty crazy, having that many people all in one stadium there for both weekends, I think you know, you know, when you’re at magic, it’s pretty, pretty loud, pretty destiny, when you’re on the field and you can’t, really, can’t really hear each other when you when you’re warming up and whatever. So, yeah, I always look forward to magic. It’s always a game that I think most boys look forward to on the calendar for.”
