Lando Norris has been driving for them since 2019, he recently just signed a contract extension that will ensure his stay till 2026. 

The Miami winner says he stuck with Mclaren; “Because I could believe in them, and they proved that.” 

McLaren has been on the up shift since they dropped their uncompetitive car manufactured by former technical director, James Key.

McLaren does not look like they are pursuing Newey, he is also very expensive and does not work full-time. “We have got a plan, and we are keeping our heads down, making sure we always keep our eyes open to make additive additions to the teams.” 

Should Kevin Magnussen be given at least a one-race ban because of the number of penalties he received over the Miami race weekend? – Michael 

It is not for me to say, whether he deserves a ban or not, his actions have been pretty average” which is Australian for ‘unimpressive.’ 

Seeing this weekend that Lando Norris had full upgrades and Oscar Piastri only partial, to what extent do cars in the same team need to be the same? – James 

“We always try to keep the cars on the same specifications, it is much easier to be in Harmony at McLaren as all our drivers receive equal treatment.”
