19 year old, Northern Irish Defender, Brodie Spencer has hit out against his side as they edge closer and closer to relegation.
With just one game to go, the Terriers sit 3 points inside the drop zone, and with two sides above them, it seems that the odds are massively stacked against them.
Their final game of the season also comes against promotion seeking Ipswich, who need just one solitary point against Huddersfield to secure advancement to the Premier League.
Their season has been torrid, with 3 managers having been at the helm, however, despite this being bad for fans, this has been a strangely positive thing for Brodie, as he said “They’ve all been great to work with and their doors have always been open for me, which as a youngster is so important,
Town have shipped 75, yes 7…5 goals in 45 games this year, and Brodie knows this is not good enough, and the performances should’ve been much better. He said “We’ve been in winning positions but have given away soft goals, we have had a soft belly and given away cheap goals, which have cost us.”
The young prodigy re-joined the squad after a somewhat successful loan spell at Motherwell, and says that this experience has given him an invaluable education, as he said “I enjoyed my time in Scotland it was my first proper taste of being in a first-team environment”.
“You learn to adapt to playing against much smarter and experienced players, and feeling the pressure in front of crowds”.
